Schefenacker Mirrors Warranty

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Schefenacker Vision Systems Australia Pty Ltd warrants that this mirror is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Our liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement or repair of the mirror which must be returned, transportation pre-paid, to Schefenacker with the sales receipt. Warranty will only apply if the mirror is installed and used in accordance with the factory directions which accompany the mirror.

Under no circumstances is Schefenacker liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage, including consequential loss or damage, and damage by a carwash.

This warranty does not apply to defects or damage resulting from incorrect installation or alteration, nor does it apply to any mirror which has been subject to abuse, misuse or negligence. Schefenacker does not cover damage caused by automated car washes. Whilst we recommend that both the driver and passenger mirrors are folded parallel to the vehicle door when entering an automated car wash, we also recommend that you speak with the operator of the car wash to determine whether your vehicle should be sent through.

Procedure for Claim

Schefenacker is committed to ensuring that all of our products meet the quality expectations that consumers have for Original Equipment products. In some cases, the product may not perform as expected. This may be due to incorrect installation, a vehicle problem, or a problem with the mirror unit. In order to assist you with determining the real problem, Schefenacker has a Support area in its web-site to assist you at www.ttt-mirror.com. Before contacting Schefenacker with your problem, please review the Support page to see if your concern is addressed there. If your concern is not addressed, please follow the procedure outlined below:


Please collect the following information: Vehicle model and year, proof of purchase and details of the problem.
Contact Schefenacker either by phone, fax or email and advise that you believe there is a problem with your mirror:

Schefenacker will send you a Claim Form that will contain a Claim Number. This form can either be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to you. Please fill in the details requested in the form. It is important to attach your Proof of Purchase to the form.
Please pack both the form and the mirror into a suitable carton (preferably the original box). Ensure that the mirror has been well packaged so as to avoid damage during transport. Freight costs must be pre-paid.
From the date of receipt, Schefenacker will advise you whether the claim is valid within 3 working days. Schefenacker will replace or return the mirror at our cost by standard courier. Maximum delivery time is 7 days. The normal turn-around time is 10 working days from the receipt of the product.

Important: Schefenacker recommends that you do not dispose of your factory fitted mirrors. As noted in the procedure for claim, Schefenacker will only replace/ repair defective product if inspected by them. By keeping your factory fitted mirrors, you can re-install them in the event of a warrantable situation. It is against the law to operate your vehicle without exterior mirrors.
